1969
Dong Tam trademark was founded on June 25, 1969 by Mr. Vo Thanh Lan in Phu Dinh Village, District 6, Saigon (HCMC now) with the initial product of cement tile produced manually.
1993
To meet the increased development and production growth, Dong Tam Construction Production and Trading Co., Ltd., located in No 453 Hamlet 3, Tan Kien Village, Binh Chanh District, HCMC was successfully born to produce cement tile, color tiles, formica, and building materials.
1994
Dong Tam joint- venture company producing ceramic tile was established which subsequently changed its name to Dong Tam Dotalia Corporation, with head office located in No 2, Highway 1, Long Hiep Village, Ben Luc District, Long An province to produce ceramic floor tile.
1997
Thang Loi Co., Ltd was established, headquartered at No 7, Quarter 6, Ben Luc Town, Ben Luc District, Long An province manufacturing high end ceramic wall tiles and decorative border and corner tile.
1999
Dong Tam Mien Trung Co., Ltd was established which subsequently changed its name now Dong Tam Mien Trung Corporation, headquartered at Lot No 3, Dien Nam Dien Ngoc IZ, Dien Ban District, Quang Nam province manufacturing color roof tiles, ceramic floor tile, ceramic wall tile, and Porcelain tiles. On October 28, 2000 Dong Tam Mien Trung Trung Corporation was evaluated as having “the most modern production plant in Southeast Asia” in 2000 by experts locally and abroad.
2002
Thanh Phat Long An Joint Stock Company was established subsequently changed its name now Dong Tam Group, headquartered at No 25 National highway, Long Hiep Viallage, Ben Luc District, Long An province manufacturing and sales of paint and putty and investment in real estate projects. Dong Tam Sports Co.,Ltd was established and located in No 7, Quarter 6, Ben Luc Town, Ben Luc District, Long An Province, this company managed directly and take over Dong Tam Long An football club.
2003
Thuan Dao Ben Luc Industry Zone Development Investment Joint Venture Company was established subsequently changed its name now Dong Tam Industry Zone Corporation implementation of investment and business infrastructure of Thuan Dao industrial in Ben Luc District, Long An province of 760 hectares.
2004
Dong Tam Mien Bac was established headquartered at 88 Phan Dinh Phung St., located Cam Phuong Village, Cam Giang District, Hai Duong Province. The company planned to invest in building development zones combined production of building materials and interior designs in a total area of 45 hectares in Hai Duong Province, located on Highway 5, 35 km from Ha Noi and 60 km from Hai Phong.
2005
On March 26, Dong Tam Mien Trung Corporation officially starting the construction of the plant expansion and investment in the automated production line to produce Porcelain tiles.
2006
Thanh Phat Long An Corporation officially changed its name to Dong Tam Group 
June 2006, Dong Tam Group took over 56,65 % shares & participated in managing Thien Thanh Sanitaryware Corporation. August 2006, Thang Loi Co., Ltd was merged into Dong Tam Group headquartered at No 7, Quarter 6, Ben Luc Town, Ben Luc District, Long An province October 2006, the head office of Dong Tam Construction Production and Trading Co., Ltd was moved to No B7/27A Nguyen Huu Tri Street, Tan Tuc town, Binh Chanh District, HCMC, with investment of the new production lines using Italian technology for the production of color roof tiles.
2007
Dong Tam Group merged all of its subsidiaries with the expansion in investment projects as follows: Consolidation of subsidiaries in the Dong Tam Group through the acquisition of shares or capital of the companies. After the acquisition, Dong Tam Group owns 90% to 99% charter capital of the subsidiaries. Cooperation with Concrete Corporation 620 - Chau Thoi & Dong Tam Group established Concrete 620 - Dong Tam Co., Ltd, specialized in manufacturing of precast concrete structures. Capital contribution ratio of each side is 50% - 50%. Establishment of Dong Tam Window located in No. 7, Quarter 6 Ben Luc Town, Ben Luc District, Long An Province, specialize in the manufacturing of uPVC windows with the capital contribution ratio is 98%. Cooperation with Korindo Group (Korea) establishing DOKO company with the project of cold storage & bonded warehouses with total area of 5.2 hectares, located in Thuan Dao Industrial Zone, Ben Luc District, Long An province. Capital contribution ratio is 50% - 50%. Investment in overseas joint ventures to establish a Company Floor Home Decor in the U.S.A (subsequently renamed I85 Flooring Corporation), with business in the areas of construction material and interior decoration, the total investment of project is US $ 1,500,000 with Dong Tam Group capital contribution of $500,000USD (equivalent to 8 billion VND). Northern Dong Tam Corporation began construction of a factory complex of building material manufacturing & home decoration in Hai Duong with the new investment in production lines of modern colors roof tile using Italian technology. To start the construction of urban infrastructure of the administrative center of Long An province in Ward 6, Tan An town, Long An province.
2008
Dong Tam Group established new subsidiaries as follows: Establishment of Dong Tam Paint Company Limited (to separate the production of paint and putty from the Dong Tam Group). Established a Dong Tam Material Building Production Company Limited (to separate the production from Dong Tam Group). Establishment of Dong Tam Trading Company Limited (to separates the sales and distribution channel nationally). Dong Tam Industry Zone began construction the second phase with 189 hectares in Ben Luc District, Long An. The launch of three manufacturing uPVC window plants officially operates in Long An, Quang Nam and Hai Duong.
2009
Dong Tam Quang Ngai, Ltd was established for the project management investment of the development on Northern area of the residential area on Le Loi Street with an area of 7,52 hectares.
2010
On 08 August the strategic Joint - Venture Cooperation between Dong Tam Group and VinaCapital on investing and building a International Port, Industrial Zone Project, Logistics Services System & Container Deport in Long An worth 1 billion USD officially began. Dong Tam Quang Ngai, Ltd made breaking-ground ceremony to build the project Northern Le Loi residential area at Quang Ngai province.
