APL to impose US0/FEU peak season surcharge on India to US-Canada boxes

APL, the container shipping arm of Singapore's Neptune Orient Line, is to enforce a peak-season surcharge of US0 per FEU on cargo shipped from India to the United States and Canada from October 15.

 Said the APL India statement: "The surcharge applies to all cargo moving on vessels via the Suez Canal and all cargo discharged at Pacific coast ports or Vancouver."

It introduces another surcharge on shipments from India to Colombia at 0 per dry container effective October 8.
